FEBRUARY

 Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

With just two months left to share our yearly accomplishments, I am deeply grateful for the mentoring reports I’ve received. Your commitment to sharing wisdom and uplifting one another is truly inspiring.

Mentoring is only one part of my duties as Chief of Staff, and I am thrilled to announce that we will soon welcome a new Auxiliary to Post #4060 High Valley in Union, District 6. This achievement is a testament to the perseverance and teamwork of those who worked tirelessly for a year to make this dream a reality. Please stay tuned for the invitation to the institution; I look forward to celebrating this milestone with you all. This is extension at its finest.

Throughout the year, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with Auxiliaries, helping to revitalize their groups. Sometimes, a simple change—like adjusting the meeting date or time—can make all the difference, allowing more members to participate. Other times, it’s about clarifying officer duties or brainstorming creative ways to grow and strengthen our membership.

Our Mid-Winter event in January was a resounding success. The Voice of Democracy winners and our Patriot Pen winner filled the day with inspiration. Special thanks to Bob Beck and Pam Seelye for their outstanding work during the Awards Banquet. It was wonderful to see everyone, especially the kids, enjoying the beauty of Clatsop County.

Oregon will elect a National Council Member this year. The election will take place in June at the Convention in Salem. During Mid-Winter, three candidates stepped forward: Paula Espeland, Sonya Sallee, and myself, Cookie (Debbie) Little. I encourage you to reach out, ask questions, and get to know each of us. Your voice matters, and together, we can shape the future of our organization.
