I hope you are all doing
well.
Every Auxiliary Conductor
at some point will need to Drape the Charter for a fellow Auxiliary member who
has passed on. It is important to read through the ritual and become familiar
with how to accomplish this with respect and dignity. The ceremony can be found
in the By-Laws and Ritual Book 2025 on pages 90 - 91 (Green Cover)
Draping the Charter is the
first order of New Business.
Before
the meeting:

Make
sure you know how to say the name of the member.

Coordinate
with the Chaplain the floor work involved.
·
Make
sure you have the Drape ready.
·
Send
around a sympathy card to forward to the family.
After the Draping
·
If
time allows, ask if members want to share a story in honor of the deceased
member.
The Drape will remain on
the Charter for 30 Days for an Auxiliary. The Drape remains on the Charter
until the close of the convention for District, Department, and National
