Hello everyone. I am Kathy McCauley and I am the National Home chairman this year.
At your first couple meetings please pay your Health and Happiness obligation of ten cents per member as of June 30. Most Auxiliaries pay more and please send your donations through the Dept treasurer Sonya so we can keep track of the amounts that are sent. Do not forget to send me your monthly report along with anything else that you have done promoting the program.
This year the focus, is the crucial service and tradition of Serving American’s Hero's. Getting information out to Veteran’s, their families, and members to let them know how to get the resources to those that need it with children. The website for the National Home is vfwnationalhome.org and the number is 800-424-8360 to give anyone that is interested in what is available and the process.
Anyone can become a Life Member of the National Home. There are two memberships. The first is for members of the Post and Auxiliary that have voting rights on who is a trustee and other things. The second is an Associate member. They do not get a vote, but it can be anyone that is interested in helping support veterans and the National Home families. They both cost $100.00. If you are a member of the National Home and your information has changed, contact them and update your information. The VFW and Auxiliary database do not interact with each other. If there is a death of a member that is also a Life member of the National Home, please contact them with this information.
You can support the National Home in other ways.
